Wazoku

Idea management is software that allows an organisation to crowdsource and discuss ideas. When Wazoku launched in 2011, idea management was virtually unknown outside the innovation and crowdsourcing communities. So Rise PR was tasked with not only raising the profile of Wazoku, but educating the business community as to what idea management was and what it could achieve. Effectively PR’ing the entire industry.

Launching with a major piece in the Financial Times got that process off to a good start and Rise PR continued to build momentum by drafting and placing a series of by-lined articles, highlighting how idea management could be used and what specific industries could get from it. As Wazoku grew its customer base, Rise PR made sure each customer delivered maximum PR value, with masses of press coverage in technology, business and vertical media, from TechCrunch to Government Computing, and The Guardian to the FT once more.

In addition to a number of sales enquiries that came as a direct result of press coverage, Wazoku was the only UK firm recognised by Gartner in its ‘Who’s Who In Innovation Management Technology’ report after Rise PR’s analyst relations programme. Wazoku is now recognised as one of the UK’s most high-profile B2B start-ups and its founder and CEO, Simon Hill, was voted Guardian Small Business Leader of the Year earlier in 2014. Big progress in just three years.
